88 KENANGA INVESTMENT BANK BERHAD THE EDGE KL RAT RACE Together with other corporate players, we also took part in The Edge KL Rat Race 2018, which raised a total of RM1.42 million. Funds raised from the eighteenth (18 th ) edition of this charity event were disbursed through The Edge Education Foundation (“ the Foundation ”), the philanthropic arm of The Edge. Since 2014, Rat Race funds have supported projects or programmes related to education, training and skills development in line with the Foundation’s educational focus. A portion of the money will also fund English and financial literacy programmes run by the Foundation as well as, a small scholarship programme. MOVIE SCREENING FOR CHILDREN OF AN-NAJJAH In conjunction with Hari Raya , a donation drive was held in June 2018 to raise funds for children of Pusat Jagaan Anak Yatim An-Najjah. Approximately RM4,000 was raised to treat forty-five (45) children and their caretakers to a movie screening of ‘The Incredibles 2’. They were also treated to lunch and given limited edition ‘The Incredibles 2’ merchandise. The outings were divided into two (2) sessions: one (1) on 26 June 2018 and the other on 7 July 2018. Our employees also volunteered to take part in these sessions to assist and interact with the children. THE BURSA BULL CHARGE 2018 Organised by Bursa Malaysia, the Bursa Bull Charge brings capital market players together for a charity run. We continue to support this annual event with a team of runners since its inception in 2014. The annual event aims to raise awareness and promote financial literacy and social entrepreneurship while improving the lives of the underprivileged communities. Yayasan Bursa Malaysia has handled the disbursement of over RM7 million since Bursa Bull Charge over the years and has since benefited more than one hundred and twenty (120) deserving beneficiaries.
