89 ANNUAL REPORT 2018 #GIVEBLOOD A blood donation campaign which was conducted in May and August attracted a total of two hundred and fourteen (214) donors. Blood donation helps the needy during disasters, as well as, those undergoing surgery, fighting cancer and giving birth. TENGKU NOOR ZAKIAH STAFF OUTREACH FUND Tengku Noor Zakiah Staff Outreach Fund (“ the Fund ”) aims to provide our employees and their family members, with financial assistance in times of need. The Fund has helped many of our colleagues and their families who have experienced disasters or tragedies. In 2018, the Fund provided cash aid to three (3) employees for the treatment of critical illnesses. Approximately RM50,000 was raised via a jumble sale held from 2 to 4 October at Kenanga Tower. Its proceeds were channelled to the Fund. CONCERT IN THE DARK Dialogue in the Dark (“ DID ”) operated by DID MY Academy Sdn Bhd is a social enterprise that aims to elevate the lives of the visually-impaired by equipping children, youths and adults with all the relevant skills needed to be empowered and attain self-sufficiency. We have been supporting DID in various fund-raising activities since its inception in 2012. On 13 October 2018, DID hosted Concert in the Dark. Participants were invited to enjoy great music with interaction. Our employees with their family members and clients were invited to this concert. SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT Social
