82 KENANGA INVESTMENT BANK BERHAD #GreenAtWork Initiatives Initiative Description Reach 1-FOR-1 PLANT GIVE-AWAY Employees who had successfully nurtured their plant adopted from the year before were rewarded with an edible plant. One hundred and thirty (130) plants were given away MEAT-FREE MONDAYS This event was held on three (3) consecutive Mondays. Three meat-free meals were prepared together with Davina Da Vegan, a plant-based lifestyle advocate. One hundred and ve (105) employees participated in this event ECO-WORKSHOP TUESDAYS In conjunction with World Earth Day 2018’s theme, “End Plastic Pollution”, Eco-workshops were conducted on three (3) consecutive Tuesdays to introduce creative ways of reusing, reducing and repurposing plastic items. One hundred and ve (105) employees participated in this event POP QUIZ WEDNESDAYS Held on three (3) consecutive Wednesdays, this programme challenged employees to pop quizzes and crossword puzzles on environmental-related topics. Three hundred and fty (350) submissions were received PLASTIC TRADE-IN FRIDAYS In-line with Earth Day 2018’s theme, “End Plastic Pollution”, employees were invited to trade-in their recyclable plastics for eco-friendly items such as reusable straws, tote bags and biodegradable toothbrushes. Seventy- ve (75) submissions were received and a total of 140.8kg of plastic were collected PLANT YOUR OWN EDIBLE GARDEN Employees and their families were invited to a workshop to learn composting and how to start their own edible garden.
