We hope to identify ways to further reduce the energy usage in Kenanga Tower by a target of 5% to 10% moving forward. ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: WASTE Office waste is the bulk of waste produced. We keep office waste to a minimum and recycle whenever possible. We have appointed a licensed waste disposal contractor to manage and dispose of our solid and scheduled wastes in compliance with the Government’s regulations on proper waste handling. ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: WATER Water is essential in the Group’s daily operations. We strive to keep consumption to a minimum. Recognising that clean water is a scarce asset, we are committed to reducing, reusing and recycling this valuable commodity. There is a rainwater harvesting system installed on the rooftop of our headquarters, Kenanga Tower, which collects, stores and rechannels rainwater for common washing purposes. Through an initiative to control and regulate air conditioning consumption within Kenanga Tower, we have managed to reduce water consumption, despite an increase in headcount in the building.
